Interface Design:
Making things Usable

When people ask me "What is interface design?" I say: "You know the steering wheel you use when you drive your car? That's an interface. Someone had to design that and that is interface design." Interface design is so integral we don't even think about it most of the time. My philosophy is that if a user has to think about how to make something work, we're not doing our job when it comes to interfaces. It needs to be very intuitive, direct and simple.
